Over 500 students from Visitacion Valley Middle School participated in this year’s shopping spree. As part of San Francisco’s Supervisorial District 10, Visitacion Valley is comprised mostly of students from low-income families. Each student received $100 to spend on school supplies and clothes, while the Foundation provided free backpacks.

JINKOSOLAR DONATES 150KW OF SOLAR MODULES TO GRID ALTERNATIVES.

On May 21, 2013 JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc entered into a partnership with GRID Alternatives, a US non-profit installer, donating 150 kW of its solar modules towards the installation and training of volunteers of solar electric systems exclusively for low-income home owners.

JinkoSolar’s donation will provide savings of over $1.2 million for low-income families over the systems’ lifetimes, and support more than 700 hours of hands-on installation training.

JinkoSolar has provided 21.6 kW of high efficiency modules to Everybody Solar, a San Francisco based NGO, through a combination of donations and fair market value sales, bringing the power of solar energy to the Redwood City, California community.

JINKOSOLAR PARTNERS WITH UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN ONTARIO TO POWER A SOLAR CAR COMPETING IN “2013 WORLD SOLAR CAR RACE”

JinkoSolar teamed up with the University of Western Ontario’s (”UWO”) Western Engineering to provide JinkoSolar high-efficient polycrystalline solar cells to their Solar Car Project. Named “SunStang”, the prototype is being developed to take part in this year’s World Solar Challenge, an arduous 3,000 km road race from north to south Australia where competing cars are powered by Solar energy.
