Job Description – Energy Storage Sales Engineer

Jinko is looking for a detail-oriented engineer to assist in the launch of Jinko’s residential energy storage product (Eagle RS1). The individual will play a key role in not only the launch of Eagle RS1 but also a new business within Jinko. This position reports to the Director of Energy Storage Sales but will work closely with the Director of Product Management, Director of Business Development, and external OEM suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in design feedback for battery, power electronics, and energy management systems
  • Coordinate and assist with technical meetings with Asian OEM suppliers
  • Conduct competitor technology research and product roadmap assessment
  • Plan and collect data on beta installation activities for residential projects
  • Track distribution channel sales, sales rate, inventory levels, and installer activities
  • Train distributors and installers on how to install the systems in various applications
  • Serve as technical support for external customers with field issues
  • Assist in preparing for sales meetings and technical presentations
  • Assigned additional projects/tasks based on interest and capabilities


  • B.S. in Engineering
  • Understanding of AC and DC power systems, electrical, and mechanical diagrams
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of reliability and integrity; detail oriented
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and possibly to Asia as needed
  • Willing to work occasional evenings to correspond with Asian partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience through school projects, internships, or jobs in energy storage or related fields
  • Primary engineering experience and knowledge of applicable codes in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of battery pack architecture and inverter technology
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and understanding of construction drawings
  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, construction, or product assemblies
  • Experience managing software/firmware deployments
